Welcome to Dr. Jawahar Surisetti and the citizens of Raipur in the State of Chhattisgarh, India. Goals of this new city of peace initiative include establishing a Rungta Peace Garden and an Indian Institute of Peace.

To create a city where the generation next of youth and children are ambassadors of peace in the building of a city that can exemplify peace and tranquility to the world.

 

GOALS

1. To establish a Rungta Peace Garden that symbolises peace and secularism in Raipur within 1 year
2. To set up an Indian Instiute of Peace which will train and nurture youth and children of schools in peace studies, anger management, leadership , cooperation and other virtues for the generation next that will foster global peace.
3. To organise a multi religious conference every year to create an understanding in the city and community.
4. To create awareness of environment and peace in the community

ABOUT DR. JAWAHAR SURISETTI

Dr. Jawahar Surisetti is an advisor to government on projects, strategies and policies; setting up institutions and projects in higher and school education, rural development, skill development and tribal welfare.

EDUCATION

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1.Advised Government of Andhra Pradesh on Vocational Skills and Employment Generation projects under SGSY, Government of India scheme

2. Advised the Government of Maharashtra on PPP in Tourism and other related projects.

3. Advised the Government of Jammu & Kashmir on Border Affected by War Area schooling and education .

4. Corporate experience of 12 years in projects of media, strategy and implementation in various segments like entertainment, industry and education of Essel Group comprising of Zee Network, Essel Packaging, Esselworld.

PATENTS AND PUBLICATONS

“Mama and Me” has been published in the US and Europe by Universal on the nuances of good parenting has sold more than 16 lakh copies
80 published papers in international journals including Harvard Business Review.

Raipur is a city in the Raipur district of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. It is the capital city of the state of Chhattisgarh and is the administrative headquarters of Raipur District. It was formerly a part of Madhya Pradesh before the state of Chhattisgarh was formed on 1 November 2000. As of 2011, the municipal corporation of the city had a population of 1,010,087. While, the urban agglomeration population was 1,122,555. The Raipur Municipal Corporation was ranked 6th out of 21 Cities for best governance & administrative practices in India in 2014. It scored 3.5 on 10 compared to the national average of 3.3.

Chhattisgarh is a state in central India. It is the 10th largest state in India, with an area of 135,190 km2 (52,200 sq mi). With a population of 25.5 million, Chhattisgarh is the 16th most-populated state of the nation. It is a source of electricity and steel for India, accounting for 15% of the total steel produced in the country. Chhattisgarh is one of the fastest-developing states in India.

Raipur has been in existence since the 9th century; the old site and ruins of the fort can be seen in the southern part of the city. Raipur district is important historically and as a point of interest archeologically. This district was once part of the Dakshina Kosala Kingdom and later considered part of the Maurya Empire. Raipur has been the capital of the Haihaya Dynasty Kalchuri kings, controlling the forts of Chhattisgarh for a considerable period. Satawahana kings ruled this part until the 2nd–3rd century.

Raipur has become the educational hub of Central India due to presence of many institutes of National importance in Engineering, Management, Medical and Law. It is the only city in India which is home to IIM, NIT, AIIMS, Hidayatullah National Law University, and IIIT.[9] IIT Chhattisgarh is proposed at Bhilai which is 30 km from Raipur.
