Oyo Town, Oyo State, Nigeria

452nd International City of Peace

Entrepreneurship as a Path of Peace

“Good morning, did you wake up well?” is what the Yoruba people say when asked what epithet describes their culture. A group of leaders and elders of Oyo, Nigeria have come to International Cities of Peace to emphasize their primary aim “…to promote peace, love, modernization and value re-orientation for advancement of people, environment and economic development.” Dr. Fatai Oyewole Salahudeen and his colleagues are currently developing Scalable Post-harvest Processing Entrepreneurship for Nigeria. Oyo Town, now the 452nd City of Peace, is an ancestral town of the Yoruba Ethnic Group and we welcome them in their path to peace where entrepreneurial success is a path to peace. We look for the day when all the world says, “Ọmọ Káàárọ̀-oòjíire”, literally in Yoruba, “Good morning, did you wake up well!”
