Forging Partnerships of Citizens for Peace
“We endeavor to forge a partnership of citizens from diverse backgrounds and disciplines,” writes Ryan Sequeira, the Liaison for the Toronto Community as a City of Peace, “dedicating our collective creativity to initiatives, educational programs, and services that cultivate a lasting legacy of peace and holistic well-being, for ourselves, and the Earth.” Birthed from the Toronto Meditation Centre, this City of Peace initiative has a central goal of bringing “the values of Heartfulness and Peace together to each endeavor for the betterment of our society and communities that we are called upon to support.” The Toronto Community initiative is the second City of Peace initiative in Toronto area. Peace must grow through collaboration and finding our values in common. Congratulations to Toronto!
