Background

International Cities of Peace (ICP) is the main program for the 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, Cities of Peace, Inc., which has Special Consultative Status with the ECOSOC, the U.N. body for NGOs. With vetted Liaisons (leaders) in nearly 500 member Cities of Peace in 76 nations, ICP offers a Social Responsibility program to link supporting organizations with vetted leaders and teams working for the good of their communities. Defining peace as the Consensus Values of Safety, Prosperity, and Quality of Life has enabled ICP to overcome division and offer opportunities for peacebuilding in at-risk communities around the world.

Process Loop for Success

Step by step, donors are guided by a relationship framework that maps actions to decision-making by continuously cycling through distinct stages that help clarify goals and outcomes. This limits misunderstanding and enables the option of continued support for longer term relationships.

Each step of the way, donors and recipients are on the same page; next steps are based on success of the previous step. If requested, recipients will provide receipts and photos of all purchases and impacts. Stories and photos will be provided to keep records and enable attestation of the services provided.
