Isanijya is a village zone located within the Nakivale Refugee Settlement in the Isingiro District of southwestern Uganda. Established in 1958, Nakivale is one of the oldest and largest refugee settlements in Africa, serving as a long-term humanitarian hub; Administrative Context: It is one of the 79 distinct village zones inside the sprawling 184-square-kilometer Nakivale settlement.Multinational Population: The area hosts a highly diverse community of displaced persons from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia, and South Sudan.
Vision: Lead a full and meaningful life for children with Down syndrome with the same rights like their siblings. Mission: Create a safe environmental in family where a child with Down syndrome must grow with love, care, dignity, security, and where parents can get valuables emotional support from each other’s
Goals: • Improve protection trough of peace structures, health, and promote school enrollment for 25 children with Down syndrome and their families in the Nakivale settlement, isingiro District and reduce stigma by working with schools and peace clubs. • To create inclusive learning environment. We will do this by strengthening community awareness, strength family resilience by delivering psychosocial support and livelihood training within designate safe spaces, reducing exposure to conflict and exploitation.

Yes, I approve the guidelines for an International City of Peace and will provide four or more additional approved signatures of community Peace Team members (see next registration field). In addition, the Golden Rule - "Do for others as you would have them do for you" -- provides a unity proposition for personal, local and global peace.
