The Legacy of Peace in Nanjing, China
HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE. China now has three International Cities of Peace. Nanjing was the first in 2017. This historic City of over 8 million people has embraced the ideal of a Culture of Peace based on the platform provided by the association of International Cities of Peace. Professor Liu Cheng narrates this video which is an extraordinary ray of hope for the world. As the UNESCO Chair of Peace Studies, Professor Liu has been instrumental in developing peace curriculum in China.

More than 600 years ago,
航海家郑和从南京出发
the seafarer Zheng He set out from Nanjing,
